Lexa is raised by her aunt and uncle after becoming an orphan. Spending time with her twin Alex, they had a very unhealthy relationship with each other. Trying to be independent, Lexa with her college friends worked on a successful political campaign and now the Magnificent Seven are up for a celebration. However, the celebrations are put on hold when a serial killer turns up uninvited.
Lexa certainly had her problems, but whilst she was trying to adapt and socialise, you could see that she was still a loner. The only time she seemed happy and content was when she was with Alex. As the killings intensify she relies on a lot more support from her family, friends and Dr.
With Room-mates a social media site like Habbo playing an important role in the story shows just how big a part social media is in most people’s lives.
Whilst they were all supposed to be friends there was quite a lot of bitching and backstabbing. Each murder was different and if you like graphic and gore than you will love this book. There were scenes that will shock you, which you don’t see coming. One of my favourite scenes was set at the Thanksgiving celebration.
This was a quick read as I wanted to find out who was doing the killings. There were red-herrings throughout and whilst I had an idea who was behind it, I could not work out how and why. The unexpected ending tied up this story.
A good slasher read.
