Happy Halloween Film Number Ten

Welcome to my first entry in the Halloween Top Ten film list, listing my personal favourite scary books of all time. You may not agree with my choices which will appear between now and 31st October, but give them a try. And note, I didn’t say horror, I said scary.

So peeps coming in at number ten is Jaws. Yep, “I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat!”

Based on Peter Benchley’s novel of the same name directed by Spielberg, Jaws is a roller-coaster of a scary film that features a giant white shark reeking death and havoc at the fictional summer resort iof Amity Island.

“After several attacks, the police chief enlists the help of a marine biologist and a professional shark hunter. Roy Scheider stars as police chief Martin Brody, Richard Dreyfuss as oceanographer Matt Hooper, Robert Shaw as shark hunter Quint.”

Visceral, funny, quirky and tense filled, this film made millions of cinema goers afraid to go back in the water.

It’s Jaws. 1976. There ain’t nothing more to say.
